I started working on this product for my 73
year old father-in-law, who loves to fish but just couldn't tolerate the heat for
long periods of time. I spent a lot of time making different brackets and trying
different methods of attaching them to the seats. I finally found what I think is
the most universal and the most "out of the way" method of attaching an
umbrella/rod holder to any seat, including boat and lawn tractor seats. I call it
the "Over and Out."
After installing it and realizing the comfort of being shaded
from the sun, I use it myself and have them on both of my boats. Like everyone
else, I enjoy being in the sun for a few hours but after that the convenience of
having the option of getting in the shade is great. The "Over and Out" is ideal
for people who are on medication and can't be in direct sunlight, because it
provides needed protection from the damaging effects of the sun.
It is also great for fishing on a rainy day. Instead of staying
home and being afraid of getting wet, go! If the showers come, you'll be
protected. As I said, this product is so universal, with a little imagination it
can be mounted on almost anything and provide a lot of comfort and protection for
